Why the mind matters
We spend so much time looking after our bodies — counting steps, tracking what we eat, hitting the gym. But our minds deserve just as much care.
🧠 Your brain processes around 70,000 thoughts a day.
🫀 Stress and emotional overwhelm can increase your risk of heart disease, sleep issues, and even gut problems.
🧘♀️ Regular self-reflection has been shown to boost emotional resilience, decision-making, and even memory.
You don’t need to be in crisis to look after your mind — you just need space to slow down, check in, and make sense of what’s going on.
That’s what this space is for. Just one-hour a day, or week, or whenever you can fit it in may make a big difference to your life.

Lauren Jordan
Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m a qualified counsellor from the UK and currently in Australia, with over 500 learning hours and experience working with loads of brilliant, complex, resilient clients all over the world.
I noticed a pattern where people would come to sessions with so much insight, so much growth bubbling under the surface. But then life would get in the way. They wanted to keep reflecting and doing the work outside the therapy room, but there just wasn’t much out there that felt right or safe to reflect.
With a passion for writing and reflecting myself, I have created a space for anyone who wants to get to know themselves better, process what’s going on underneath, and learn how to respond to life in a more intentional, grounded way. As little as one-hour of mindful reading, therapy or reflection may make a big difference to your life.
